"In fact, at this point in history, the most radical, pervasive, and earth-shaking transformation would occur simply if everybody truly evolved to a mature, rational, and responsible ego, capable of freely participating in the open exchange of mutual self-esteem. There is the "edge of history." There would be a real New Age.."

Ken Wilber Revisited
The Insights of the Philosopher/Mystic

Ken Wilber is one of the most influential contemporary philosophers in the Western World. He is an intellectual genius and master synthesizer of "big pictures", as well as having experienced mystical unitive states through long meditative practices. Through twenty or so books and a variety of media he gives a new framework for looking at the world-- a new way to think and to act integrally by connecting body, mind, and spirit in individuals and cultures.

Our world's problems are now so complex and interconnected that we face a crisis that begs for conscious and integral human growth. Wilber is promoting such growth practices but much of his effort is to help us understand the root problem causes and how to approach them. His thinking is still evolving, so this workshop will provide an overview for those unfamiliar with his work and an update of his current ideas and how he is trying to get them considered by a wider public.

Discussion leader: Gene Thompson, retired DuPont chemist and manager, has led seminars and workshops on Wilber's works for over 20 years.
